Our neighbouring town has started a pilot recycling project - we collect our recycling and take it across when we have a car full. One of the farmers (the farm on my header) composts garden waste for his pomegranate trees. In our hot summer climate I clip and shred garden prunings and use that as mulch to shade and feed our heavy clay soil.
